Cycling Across Britain for Fifth Sense
A Very Happy New Year from all of us at Fifth Sense. We’re delighted to start the year by announcing that Fifth Sense trustee and Consultant ENT Surgeon Mr Carl Philpott is going to be undertaking one of the UK’s biggest cycling challenges to support our charity in September 2017.
Carl is participating in the Deloitte Ride Across Britain which starts at Lands End and finishes at John O’Groats, 969 miles and 9 days later. He is collecting sponsorship and is aiming to raise £10,000 for Fifth Sense. In addition he’s going to be sporting a very fetching Fifth Sense cycling jersey for the duration of the race, which he’s modelling in the image to the right.
Mr Philpott has been instrumental to the establishment and development of Fifth Sense since our founder Duncan Boak was first introduced to him in October 2011. His clinic at James Paget Hospital has seen and helped many patients with smell and taste disorders since it opened in 2010, in spite of a number of challenges it has faced along the way.
We hope you’ll join us in wishing Carl every success in his challenge, and we’ll be letting you know how his training is progressing in due course. If you’d like to sponsor him to raise money for our cause then you can do so safely and securely here.
